CMS Meeting of the Minds

This year, we are upgrading the "CMS Celebration of Undergraduate Research" to make it the "CMS Meeting of the Minds," which will include an overview of all the research in the department (not just the undergraduate research!). The event will take place as part of Caltech's Alumni Reunion Weekend, on Friday, May 20th from 3-5pm on Annenberg's Second and Third Floors.

What is it?

The Meeting of the Minds is a great opportunity to share your research with the entire campus community! All undergraduate and graduate research projects are welcome, along with related projects from JPL -- SURF projects, course projects, etc. The Meeting of the Minds centers around a poster session where any undergrad or grad in CMS (ACM, CDS, CMS, or CS) can present a poster and/or demo of their project. Those with a more competitive streak can try to win one of the prizes for the best poster/demo (as voted by attendees)!

How do I participate?

To participate, simply send an email to Sydney Garstang with your name and project title in order to register for the event. If you will require power for a demo, please mention it in your email so that we can ensure we have enough outlets available. Then, show up on the date with your poster and have fun! Note that we suggest showing up 15-30 minutes early, especially if you have a demo, in order to ensure that you are ready in time for the event!
