Meeting of the Minds

The Meeting of the Minds is back!
The CMS + IST Meeting of the Minds (MotM) is our department's annual showcase. The Caltech CMS Community, from undergrads to faculty, presents their research through a large outdoor poster session. It's a terrific opportunity to get to know both our department and the broader Caltech Community as we celebrate our research and our graduating students!
Schedule and Location
This year's CMS + IST Meeting of the Minds will take place on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 from 2:00-4:00p.m. in the outdoor tents east of the Annenberg Center on Caltech's campus.
In addition, poster presenters are encouraged to attend The Art of the Poster tutorial session on Wednesday, May 11, at 12pm, and the Poster Presentation Practice Workshop on Monday, May 23, at 4pm. Further details (and registration links!) are below under Registration.

Annenberg 105
This workshop will provide a chance to practice presenting a draft poster. Poster presenters will receive feedback from the Hixon Writing Center's STEM Writing Specialists and other attendees to help prepare for the Meeting of the Minds. Even if you do not have a poster to present, you are welcome to join as an attendee to peruse posters and provide feedback to presenters, and presenters will also have the opportunity to visit the others' drafts. If you wish to present a poster, we ask that you plan to print and bring a version smaller than the full size (e.g., 11"x17"/tabloid-sized, or perhaps tape together 2-4 letter-sized pages, depending on the printer to which you have access), which will be posted around the room for the practice session.
If you plan to present a (smaller version of your) poster, please register by clicking here.
No registration required for attendees who would like to view and provide feedback on posters.
Students: For information on using printing services through the Caltech Library System, please visit https://www.library.caltech.edu/printing-instructions.
CMS community printers (for occupants of Annenberg and Steele House) can print to letter or legal-sized paper only.
