Computational Mathematics + X

The Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) Department at Caltech is seeking postdoctoral researchers in computational mathematics and applications (CMX); see: http://cmx.caltech.edu
Caltech's CMS Department is a unique environment, focusing on applied mathematics and allied fields, emphasizing fundamentals and methodology, the interactions between areas, and the role these fields play in advancing science and engineering more broadly.
We invite applications from researchers in all areas of applied mathematics and statistics including (but not limited to) mathematics of data science, numerical analysis, optimization, probability, scientific computing, signal processing, and uncertainty quantification. We also invite applications from researchers who have demonstrated strong connections between computational mathematics and applications in science and engineering. As an integral part of their postdoctoral training, postdoctoral scholars may opt to teach a course with the permission of the CMS department.
Click here to apply. A CV; a research statement; and a statement of teaching are required. The teaching statement should contain a section that addresses past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., mentoring activities, committee service, research, or teaching activities).
